
For years, I thrived in a demanding career where long hours and entertaining clients, including frequent drinking, were the norm. This lifestyle took a toll on my well-being, leading to crippling anxiety and debilitating migraine flares. The onset of the pandemic offered a moment of reflection that I must use this time to self-care. When return to the office began, including the inevitable return to an unhealthy rat race, I realized I can no longer go back to the way things once were. I needed a mindset change.
Struggling with focus and fatigue, I finally pursued an ADHD diagnosis. A pivotal step was eliminating alcohol from my life, which brought unexpected clarity and energy. Complementing this, I had been practicing transcendental meditation daily for 4 years, which became a cornerstone in managing my mental health and enhancing self-awareness.
Running has always been my sanctuary. Despite a hip injury in high school that sidelined my competitive aspirations, I turned to strength training and later resumed running after college. Movement became essential for my mental and physical well-being.
Understanding the challenges of balancing a demanding career with personal health, I established The Active Sanctuary. My mission is to empower high-achieving individuals to prioritze their well-being through personalized coaching that integrates nutrition, movement, and mindfulness.
